After spending more than a decade on Fourth Avenue, restaurant and bar Bumsted’s announced via Facebook they are reopening soon:
Their address is now located at 1003 N. Stone Ave., which previously housed the Royal Sun Restaurant & Lounge. Bumsted’s closed back in early 2017 after the property manager decided to sign on burger restaurant Lindy’s on 4th.
Currently, the official grand opening is still up in the air, but a soft opening is planned for mid-July “in some capacity,” meaning that it will temporarily be takeout only.
Perhaps one of the newest additions the crew is equally pumped about is the stage, which has a built-in sound system and lighting for the ultimate karaoke experience.
“We are really excited to show off the lounge and karaoke stage,” said Scot Shuman, co-owner of Bumsted’s. “Also, very excited to have 40 parking spaces for our patrons and a kitchen that is larger than a Starbucks restroom.”
Speaking of restrooms, they’re getting a bedazzled makeover at the new location, and the kitchen is a lot bigger than the previous space, allowing them to expand parts of the menu.
