Christmas in July. Have you ever wondered how that started? Well, according to legend, Christmas in July was first celebrated in 1933 at a summer camp in Brevard, North Carolina where they dedicate two days (July 24 and 25) to the holiday. They even decked out a tree, threw out some fake snow, and exchanged gifts.
They were missing one thing, though: tamales.
