Supporting local

Every dollar stays in town.

Tucson Foodie is locally owned and operated. Your membership pays the writers who cover this city's restaurants full-time, and every partner on our list is an independent local business.

Before you join
Can I cancel?
Yes — from your profile on this site or in the app. Cancelling stops the next payment and your membership runs to the end of the period you've already paid for. On the monthly plan you can pause instead, for up to a year.
How do the perks actually work?
Each restaurant sets its own offer and how often it comes back. A handful are good on every visit, most return every one to three months, and some are twice a year. The restaurant's own terms are shown with the perk.
Do I need the app to redeem?
Yes. A perk is redeemed in the Tucson Foodie app at the restaurant, and that is the only place a redemption is recorded. Managing or cancelling your membership works on this site too.
Is it one perk per person or per household?
Per member account. One membership redeems a given perk once per that perk's own schedule, however many people are at the table. What the discount covers is the restaurant's decision, and it is written on the perk.
Can two of us share one membership?
Yes. Sign in to the same account on both phones and the perks are shared between you. It is one allocation rather than two — each perk comes back on its own schedule for the account, not once per person. Member dinners work differently: a ticket is for a member, and whether you can bring a guest is set dinner by dinner.
Can I give unused perks away as gifts?
Yes. You can send a perk you haven't used to a friend from the app, and they don't need to be a Foodie Club member to open it — just a free Tucson Foodie account on the email address you sent it to. Gifting spends your own use of that perk for the period, so you're giving the perk away rather than an extra copy of it. There's no limit on how many different perks you can give, but each one has to come back on its own schedule before you can redeem or gift it again.
What if I don't use them?
Nothing accumulates. Each perk comes back on its own schedule rather than stacking up, so an unused month is simply an unused month. If you know you will be away for a while, pausing a monthly membership is the better option.
Do member dinners cost extra?
Yes. Each dinner has its own price, set when it's announced. The price includes the tip, nothing is added at checkout, and it goes to the restaurant hosting the dinner. Tickets are released in the app, and whether you can bring a guest is set dinner by dinner.

In their words.

“Being in healthcare during the pandemic was a trying time, but the Foodie events have provided my wife and I with the first sense of normalcy. When I support Tucson Foodie, I am supporting locally owned business and members of my community.”
Casey H.
“Tucson Foodie is taking me to places I never knew existed. I'm telling everyone I know about it.”
Mary T.
“We moved here from Seattle two years ago and this is helping us make Tucson home! We've tried so many new restaurants, explored new neighborhoods, gotten to know new people.”
Jaime N.
“Before we go out to eat we always check to see places we've never been so we can use the vouchers. The savings are amazing!”
Brian M.
“It has helped us break out of our comfort zones with restaurants in Tucson. We love trying new places and different food with friends.”
Alicia K.
“Why over complicate it? I love being a Foodie member because I just really love good FOOD.”

The grand opening is TODAY, Oct. 8! 🎉

@istanbultucson is expanding with a second location, @istanbulmediterraneanexpress, at 5660 W. Cortaro Farms Rd.

The fast-casual spot will feature about 75% of the original location’s menu, plus two exclusive dishes: build-your-own Turkish stuffed baked potatoes, known as Kumpir, and fresh-ground doner made in-house. The falafel plate and stuffed potatoes can also be made vegan.

“The first restaurant taught us what our customers love most, so at Cortaro we’re focusing the menu around our most popular dishes while making the experience a little more casual and convenient. Most importantly, we’ve learned that no matter how much we grow, the quality of our food has to stay high every single day.” — Kamran Esar

Phoenix bakery @Proofbread is popping up in Tucson!

Starting Friday, Oct. 9, the Phoenix-based sourdough bakery and stone flour mill will take over the two former @Cafefrancaisaz locations for a Tucson pop-up.

Expect naturally leavened country loaves, chocolate croissants with 81 layers of laminated dough, morning buns, ciabatta and more. 🥐🍞

📍 7831 E. Wrightstown Rd.
📍 3855 E. Broadway Blvd.

Both locations will be open 7 am-2 pm throughout October. If the pop-up is a success, Proof Bread says it could become a permanent Tucson operation.
