In 2019, the Chandler-based wing restaurant ATL Wings opened its very first Tucson location at 802 N. Fourth Ave. Just recently, the restaurant announced the permanent closure of its spot at the corner of University Boulevard.

We weren’t able to reach anyone for a comment about the closure, but a note was left on the door.

“Sorry for the inconvenience. We’re closed. Thank you for your support over the years.”

ATL Wings has one other location in Tucson — 5585 E. Broadway Blvd. — which is operated by different owners of the franchise.

The restaurant features fresh, never-frozen chicken wings with over 20 sauce options: six dry rubs, seven red hot sauces, seven barbecue sauces, teriyaki sauce, and a sweet and tangy sauce.
