The city is known to many as one of the greatest Sonoran Hot Dog empires around, and now Tucson Tamale Company is dippin’ its toes in the scene.

Earlier this year, the local business launched its new Tamale of the Month, offering you a unique spin on the classic tamale now until December 2024.

Behold April’s Tamale of the Month: The Dogmale — a Sonoran Hot Dog in a Tamale! Get it now while you can at 7286 N. Oracle Rd.

“These tamales are everything you love from a Sonoran Hot Dog, wrapped in masa including a hot dog, bacon, beans, and chile,” said Bri Mazzola, Marketing Manager at Tucson Tamale. The Dogmale may look a little intimidating but it’s tasty as heck — and here for a limited time, too.

Get in there before the end of the month because a new creation will make its debut in May (the San Carlos Tamale, which is a shrimp tamale). These shrimp tamales will include local seasonings and their housemade Sherry’s Red Salsa wrapped in our white masa. The San Carlos Tamale These will also be buy-one-get-one-free on Friday, March 10, which is National Shrimp Day.

On Saturday, April 20, they’re celebrating the day with a buy-one-get-one-free deal on The Dogmale to cure your munchies.

During May, they’ll be offering 20% off all preordered Fiesta Packs to celebrate all local school graduations. Tucson Tamale’s Fiesta Packs are boxes of take-home tamales — there are some that feed 15-20 people or bigger meals to feed 20-25 people. Choose between tamales, burritos, and street tacos.
