Tucson Tamale Co. Launches a ‘Tamale of the Month’ Menu

March 5, 2024
By Matt Sterner

Tucson Tamale Company just launched its brand-new Tamale of the Month menu, offering you a unique spin on the classic tamale from now until December 2024.

The current lineup is sort of a tribute to Tucson Tamale’s tenure on Broadway Boulevard (the location closed in 2018), which brings new life to some old flavors — for one month only.

Folks can find these Tamale of the Month (keep scrolling to see the monthly flavors) at the shop on Oracle Road. Each tamale comes in a special packaging because all of these tamales will be made, rolled, and packed at 7286 N. Oracle Rd. (rather than in the larger factory).

Check out this year’s lineup at Tucson Tamale Company, which recently celebrated its 15th anniversary.

  • March – Cheese
  • April – Dogmale (Sonoran Hot Dog Tamale)
  • May – San Carlos (Shrimp Tamale)
  • June – Vegan Green Corn
  • July – Red, White & Blue Tamales (a pack of three tamales — the red is a barbecue pork, the white is a Buffalo chicken, and the blue is vegan)
  • August – Little Italy (sausage and pepper tamale)
  • September – Veggie Curry
  • October – Pumpkin
  • November – Cranberry Turkey
  • December – Paella

Tucson Tamale is located at 7286 N. Oracle Rd. For more information, visit tucsontamale.com. If you’re looking for more tamales in Tucson, check out our interactive guide.
