The Community Gardens of Tucson will host its annual Desert Harvest Festival from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 12 at the Rincon Mountain Community Garden, 8445 E. Tanque Verde Rd. Admission is free, with donations welcome.

Local Vendors and Food Trucks

The festival will showcase a bustling farmers market filled with local goods and handmade crafts. Guests can also enjoy bites from Tucson food trucks, making the afternoon a treat for families and food lovers alike.

Visitors can learn pickling, try cider pressing, and join other gardening demos designed to inspire sustainable living. The event will also feature live art, performances, and a silent auction, ensuring activities for every age group.

Supporting Tucson Gardens

Proceeds from the festival benefit Community Gardens of Tucson programs that increase food access and provide garden education in 21 neighborhoods across the city.

“We’re excited to bring people together to celebrate the desert harvest and empower our community through food and education,” said Cas Wensel-Kanne, board representative from Community Gardens of Tucson. “It’s a chance to connect, learn, and enjoy everything our local gardens and growers have to offer.”
