New specialty dessert joint, Just Desserts & Coffeehouse, located at 250 S Craycroft, has earned national recognition for the owners’s husband’s innovative interactive digital tables.

Dubbed “smart tables”, the large tablet like screen allows patrons to play games free of charge, as well as order.

“There’s nowhere else that I know of that this type of system exists in a restaurant or bar,” says inventor Dan Collins.

While we have yet to try out the food at Just Desserts, it’s exciting to see innovative technology birthed locally. Added bonus: though the parts are outsourced, the tables are manufactured right here in Tucson.
