While Tucson Foodie has never been the biggest promoter of chain restaurants, this sounds like a good cause.

During the week of Sunday, May 25th through Saturday, May 31st RA Sushi will host its 10th annual fundraiser, Nicky’s Week. 100% of sales from select items are donated to St. Jude’s Research Hospital during the week which was created in memory of Nicholas Mailliard, nephew of a RA founder, who lost his battle with brain cancer at 13 years old.

The special Nicky’s Week menu includes: Edamame, Tootsy Maki, Shrimp Nigiri, Pork Gyoza, Chicken Yakitori, Garlic Citrus Yellowtail, plus a variety of select beverages.

The mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is to advance cures, and means of prevention, for pediatric catastrophic diseases through research and treatment. Consistent with the vision of our founder Danny Thomas, no child is denied treatment based on race, religion or a family’s ability to pay.

Now, that’s a mission worthy of some Garlic Citrus Yellowtail and then some.
