Monday, January 8 marks the seventh anniversary of the shooting that killed six and wounded thirteen others at Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords’ Congress on your Corner event.
In conjunction with the dedication ceremony Monday morning, several Tucson restaurants will donate a percentage of sales on January 8 to the Tucson Memorial Foundation as part of Dine on Your Corner.
Tucson’s January 8th Memorial Foundation is a non-profit organization that aims to fund and build a permanent memorial commemorating the event of January 8, 2011 and the wonderful Tucson spirit which emerged immediately following the tragedy.
