Recently-opened Fourth Avenue restaurant the Drunken Chicken isn’t only about chicken and waffles.

Although the menu is small, it’s still creative with twists on simple classics.

Highlighted Items at the Drunken Chicken

  • Chicken Strip Sandwich
  • Fried Deviled Eggs
  • Fried Green Beans
  • The Beast  (bacon-wrapped, waffle-battered chicken strip)

Fried goodies need sauce, and thankfully there’s a wide variety. The menu currently features honey mustard and variations of ranch and maple syrup with occasional new experimental flavors to keep things fresh. Don’t miss out on the bourbon maple syrup and ancho ranch.

The Drunken Chicken is located at 429 N. 4th Ave. Operating hours will be 10 a.m. – 10 p.m. Sunday – Thursday, 10 a.m. – 2:30 a.m. Friday – Saturday. Keep up with them on Instagram.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
