Ermanos Bar to Close After 10 Years on Fourth Avenue

Feb 17, 20251 min read

On Monday, February 17, the Ermanos Bar and Portal Cocktails both announced they will close their restaurant and bar at 220 N. 4th Ave.

They will host their last day of service on Saturday, February 22.

“This place has been more than a business,” said Eric Erman, co-founder of Ermanos and Portal. “There have been many moments shared, friendships forged, last calls, and candlelit conversations, but most of all we’re proud of the community we’ve created. We poured our hearts into this place with passion, allowing it to pulse with life, so seeing this chapter close is a heartbreak like no other. It tested our resilience as we aimed to stay true to our values in hard times, embracing the ever changing tides of the industry.“

Brothers Mark and Eric Erman opened Ermanos Bar in 2015. They opened Portal Cocktails in 2020.

Ermanos is located at 220 N. 4th Ave. For more information, follow Ermanos Bar on Instagram.

@Jundynasty has served Sichuan dishes on Grant Road for 13 years.🌶️

General manager Jacob Yeung credits one idea above all: “We’ve grown since then, but the key has always been consistency.”

Stop in for Flaming Chili Oil, Walnut Shrimp, chow fun, or sautéed green beans finished with Sichuan peppercorns. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
