Fiamme Pizza to Open Brick & Mortar Restaurant in January

Fiamme Pizza to Open Brick & Mortar Restaurant in January

Nov 16, 20162 min read

Mobile pizza maker Fiamme Pizza NapoletanaĀ will open a brick-and-mortar location in January 2017 at 4704 E. Sunrise Blvd. in the Sunrise Village Shopping Center.

Fiamme founder, owner,Ā and pizzaiolo Scott Volpe is comfortable working with pizza to say the least.Ā His world-class pizza acrobatics have even earned him the title of theĀ U.S. Pizza Team Acrobatics ChampionĀ and will compete at the 2017 World Pizza Championship in Parma, Italy.

Regardless of the pizza pizzazz, Volpe producesĀ a pristine Neapolitan-style pizza. The imported Italian ValorianiĀ oven’s 750 degree Fahrenheit floors and 1,000 degreeĀ roof creates thin, crisp, leopard-spotted crusts with a chewy, soft interior. The flour and tomatoes are imported from Naples, Italy as well.

Dedication to authenticity is also reflected with the interior design of the tiny space that seatsĀ just 15 guests at a time.

ā€œThe place is a traditional theme as if you were transported back to a pizzeria in Naples,ā€ Volpe said. ā€œIt will have some modern aspects, but the overall feel is a traditional, rustic, Neapolitan pizzeria.ā€

Even though pizza is at the peak of quality fresh out of the oven, neighbors stuck in offices can still rejoice.

ā€œWe’ll also be focused a lot on delivery and take-out since the space is so small,ā€ Volpe said.

The kitchen will includeĀ more tools than Fiamme’s mobile setup. While classic pizzas such as theĀ Margherita andĀ Capricciosa will remain on the menu, guests can look forward to new creations such as the Colazione breakfast pizzaĀ with eggs, pancetta, and mozzarella.

Non-pizza items will also be available, includingĀ insalate (salads)Ā andĀ antipasti such asĀ panini, bruschetta,Ā and aĀ meat and cheese board.Ā Dessert still includes theĀ Nutella Pizza, butĀ Budino di Pane (bread pudding)Ā andĀ gelato will join the fray.Ā Vegan and gluten-free options will also be available.

Bottled beer and wine by the glass will be available once the license is approved. In the meantime, ItalianĀ San PellegrinoĀ sodas and bottled water will be available.

Pizza will range from $10 – 15, but $7Ā pizzettasĀ will also be available for smaller appetites.

Operating hours will be 11:30 a.m. until the dough runs out.

Bonus tip: pay an extra dollar to order your pizzaĀ cornicione ripieno, which is a cheese-stuffed crust.

Keep up with Fiamme Pizza Napoletana on Facebook.
