Pueblo Vida Brewing to move next door with new restaurant from Anello's Scott Girod

Oct 1, 20262 min read

Pueblo Vida Brewing Company is closing its original downtown taproom this fall, 12 years after it first opened. The brewery is moving into an expanded taproom next door at 121 E. Broadway Blvd., with an opening date set for late fall 2026.

The current taproom at 115 E. Broadway Blvd. has served downtown Tucson since 2014. Pueblo Vida is inviting the community to stop by for one more pint before the move, and the brewery said details on a farewell celebration will come soon.

A sentimental send-off

"This taproom has always been more than four walls," co-founder Linette Antillon said in a press release. "It's where we've celebrated milestones, introduced hundreds of new beers, watched friendships grow and built a community we're incredibly grateful for. While we're excited about what's next, it's impossible not to feel sentimental about saying goodbye to the place where it all happened."

Brewing stays, the taproom becomes an event space

Pueblo Vida isn't leaving the building behind entirely. Brewing operations will continue on-site, and the current taproom will convert into a private event venue for weddings, corporate gatherings and other celebrations. Booking inquiries can go to cheers@pueblovidabrewing.com.

A bigger taproom with food, wine and coffee

Next door, Pueblo Vida is building a reimagined taproom inside a neighboring historic building, a project more than two years in the making. The new space will seat more than 100 guests, with large booths, a curated wine program and a 14-tap bar featuring four Czech-made Lukr side-pull faucets.

For the first time, Pueblo Vida's taproom will share its space with a restaurant. Chef Scott Girod of Anello is opening a new restaurant in a shared common area, set to follow the taproom's opening in early 2027. Plans also call for adding a coffee partner, rounding out an all-day destination alongside the beer.

Co-founder Kyle Jefferson said the larger footprint reflects how much the brewery has grown since 2014.

"This move allows us to preserve our history while investing in our future," Jefferson said. "We outgrew our current taproom concept a long time ago. The new space means more seats, food on the table and more reasons for people to spend time downtown with us."

What stays the same

Pueblo Vida plans to keep producing craft beer out of the same building that has anchored its downtown presence for more than a decade.

@Jundynasty has served Sichuan dishes on Grant Road for 13 years.🌶️

General manager Jacob Yeung credits one idea above all: “We’ve grown since then, but the key has always been consistency.”

Stop in for Flaming Chili Oil, Walnut Shrimp, chow fun, or sautéed green beans finished with Sichuan peppercorns. Vegetarian and vegan options are available.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”
