Vivace is One of OpenTable’s “100 Most Romantic Restaurants”

Feb 7, 20241 min read

OpenTable enjoys gathering enough info about restaurants all over America, and in turn, they create massive lists for food lovers to gobble up. Most recently — and most appropriately, being that Valentine’s Day is near — the website revealed the 100 Most Romantic Restaurants in the U.S. and Tucson’s beloved Vivace is in the spotlight.

OpenTable shared the following about its lovey-dovey findings:

“Food is its own love language, but when it’s served in a cozy room or a candlelit booth? Guaranteed fireworks. OpenTable analyzed over 12 million diner reviews and metrics to find the restaurants that had diners swooning—these are the Top 100 Romantic Restaurants in the U.S.”

When was the last time you paid a visit to Vivace during one of Tucson’s glorious sunsets? The restaurant overlooks the city and the combination of the twinkling lights at night and the delicious bites from the kitchen are enough to make anyone’s heart flutter.

Daniel Scordato’s longtime Tucson Italian food staple, Vivace Restaurant, came to fruition back in 1993, and his last name is something that’s been recognized in the Tucson food scene for decades. Read our August 2022 article, “Vivace’s Long-Game Formula For Success.”

Other Romantic Spots in Arizona

If you’re looking to take a road trip sometime soon, the list highlights restaurants all over the U.S. Here in Arizona, the list includes Cafe Monarch (Scottsdale), Dahl & DiLuca Ristorante Italiano (Sedona), Lon’s at The Hermosa (Paradise Valley), and Mariposa (Sedona)

Vivace is located at 6440 N. Campbell Ave. For more information and to make your reservation, call (520) 795-7221 or visit vivacetucson.com. For more Valentine’s Day recommendations, check out our 2024 roundup.

More about Matt

At a very young age, Matt Sterner was gifted with the artistic ability to masterfully roll a burrito to the highest of standards, but the wrapped medley of delicious innards wasn’t his first love. Matt’s first true love was a combination of reading, writing, and creating. He grew up reading comics, the ingredients list of his shampoo and conditioner bottles, choose-your-own-adventure books, and the Scrabble dictionary — something he found useful when challenging his grandmother to a game.

He attended college at New Mexico State University and graduated with a degree in Digital Filmmaking. One of his favorite classes was screenwriting because he became responsible for the story’s birth before it came to life on-screen. After school, Matt took on numerous positions at a local television station in Tucson. From dealing out stories about heartbreak to producing “fluffier” content for a lifestyle broadcast, he learned what it takes to adapt to the many emotions the world of media can stir. Since 2017, Matt has dabbled in the culinary world of Tucson as well as San Diego, California from time to time.

If you’re in the mood for strange stories, head over to his pride and joy, wonkytimes.com. And in case you’re curious — yes, after all of this time, he still manages to roll a killer burrito.
