@Theironcheftucson returns to Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita this Saturday, July 18!
Two-time reigning champion @chef_antbanks of @obonsushi is back to defend his title against AJ Mortazavi of @barnyard_az, winner of the 2026 Meet the Chefs competition. Once the secret ingredient is revealed, both chefs will race against the clock to create dishes judged on taste, creativity, and presentation.
The event begins with the Culinary Experience from 1 to 4 p.m., featuring three hours of food and drink sampling, cooking demos, and classes, followed by the live Iron Chef Competition from 5 to 8 p.m. This is a 21+ event.

Two days at @Hiltonelcon felt like the ultimate staycation. Between the pools, hot spring and cold plunge, water slide, yoga, live music, complimentary bike rentals, and their nostalgic âSummer Rewindâ experience, there was always something to do. We never left the resort.
The highlight at their on-site restaurant, Epazote Kitchen & Cocktails, was the Pollo Con Rajas - perfectly cooked chicken over a rich creamed poblano, onion, and corn mestizaje. And if youâre at their Sundance CafĂŠ for breakfast, get the pozole. Itâs made from a family recipe that became such a guest favorite it earned a permanent spot on the menu.
Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, itâs owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.
Whether youâre planning a weekend getaway or just looking for an incredible dinner with Catalina Mountain views, this spot is worth adding to your list. đľđ
