If ever there were a simple way to attract people to a food festival, it would not be by food alone, but by virtue of wine, beer, and possibly music. Unless, of course, it revolves around bacon.
The Second Annual Arizona Bacon Fest hits Kino Sports Complex on Saturday, June 7th at 6pm. Tucson Foodie missed out on it last year, but with a bunch of sponsors including 96.1 KLPX and Harley Davidson, it’s safe to assume that this ain’t no Viva La Local Food Festival with a farmers market. This is the rebellious teenager version. For adults.
It sounds like it’s going to be a blast with Yacht Rock and Arena Anthem style live music from the band Love Boat, two live DJs, horseshoe toss, steer roping and a bunch of great restaurants whipping up bacon-centric dishes for your unkosher cravings such as:
Bacon Fest Tickets are $40 and include everything – entry, food, entertainment, and tasting glass. You’ll need to bring your own Pepto, though.
