You probably know how we feel about chains at Tucson Foodie. But, it’s hard not to like Firebirds Wood Fired Grill at La Encantada. With its large stone faced walls and animal mounts, walking into the restaurant is like walking into a millionaire’s mountain cabin. It’s dark, it’s intimate and they do what they do well.

For Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2014 Firebirds is rolling out an ambitious menu that includes a number of soup and salad options for starters, four main courses, and three dessert choices. As a bonus, only Firebirds’ Tucson location is offering Banana Cream Pie.

Here’s what to expect at Firebirds Wood Fired Grill for Arizona Restaurant Week Fall 2014:

First Course (choice of 1)

• BLT Salad
• Mixed Greens Salad
• Caesar Salad
• Cup Tortilla Soup
• Cup Soup of the Day

Second Course (choice of 1)

• Grilled Beef Tenderloin Medallions topped with Cajun BBQ Jumbo Shrimp. Served with Parmesan mashed potatoes
• Parmesan Crusted Mahi topped with tomato basil buerre blanc. Served with sautéed vegetable medley
• Wood Fire Grilled Pork Porterhouse- basted with peach jalapeno BBQ sauce. Served with green Chile mac and cheese
• Wood Grilled Vegetable Kabobs served with Portobello and spinach quesadilla. Drizzled with cilantro pumpkin seed pesto and balsamic syrup

Third Course (Choice of 1)

• Key Lime Pie
• Warm Chocolate Brownie
• Banana Cream Pie
