Winemaker Robert Carlson III of Carlson Creek Vineyard and Bisbee favorite Cafe Roka are getting together to host a Dia de los Muertos winemaker’s dinner.

On Sunday, November 2, you can enjoy an eight-course feast with wine pairings from the Carlson Creek wine catalogue. What dishes can you expect for a Dia de Los Muertos theme at an Italian restaurant? Good question.

Each course will also incorporate traditional Mexican ingredients in non-traditional techniques. A few dishes to expect:

  • Salad of Oranges, Radish, Avocado & Jicama with a Honey-Lime Vinaigrette
  • Shrimp with Poblano Mole & Napolito Relish
  • Pork Gordita with Chile Colorado
  • Steamed Bass Vera Cruz

Carlson will be present to discuss the wine pairings, as well as the growth of Carlson Creek and the Arizona wine industry. The Mexican Consulate will also be in attendance speaking about the cultural significance of Dia de los Muertos.

Dinner starts at 5 p.m.  Tickets are $65 per person.

To make a reservation, call Cafe Roka at (520) 432-5153 or purchase tickets online.
