Apparently, December is an excellent time to open a restaurant or food related business in Tucson with newcomers Reforma, Cashew Cow, and Jackson Tavern.
Opening Monday at 11:30am is cashew-based ice cream parlor, Cashew Cow. It’s a non-dairy ice cream made with all natural ingredients. Check out our recent feature here.

Metzger Family Restaurants fifth restaurant installment is a New England-inspired eatery at Plaza Palomino. Look for Deviled Eggs, oysters, clam strips, crab cakes, and much much more. Tucson Foodie originally announced Jackson Tavern in August as a fall opening, however, as is often the case, the opening was pushed back. Jackson Tavern opens Monday, December 15.

The team behind Union Public House have completely revamped the former Vivace location into a modern, central Mexican cuisine restaurant. Beautifully designed by Repp + Mclain, the team behind Sparkroot, Sidecar, Cashew Cow, and numerous other build outs, the restaurant is a shining example of full-on from the minute you enter. Reforma opened Sunday, December 14.
