The stream of national attention for Tucson’s food scene hasn’t lost momentum since the UNESCO World City of Gastronomy designation.
Today, Thrillist featured Tucson’s restaurants, chefs, and agricultural scene in its article “Why Tucson is the Best Food City in Arizona.”
“Tucson was busy rediscovering its historical roots in farming and ranching — and a dining and cocktail renaissance wasn’t far behind.”
The article includes shout-outs for Tucson Native Seeds/SEARCH, Tucson Originals, Café Poca Cosa, Penca, El Guero Canelo, Welcome Diner, and Barrio Bread along with words from chefs Janos Wilder, Michael Babcock, and Chris Bianco.
While now-closed restaurants Proper and Pizzeria Bianco were mentioned, the article remained optimistic about the growth of Tucson’s food scene.
