When it comes to comfort food, pasta and cheese are champions.

While a well-made bowl of macaroni and cheese feels like a hug, Commoner & Co.’s  Pappardelle ($19) feels like a hug from your favorite person.

The simply-named dish features melt-in-your-mouth Wagyu bolognese clinging onto the house-made pappardelle. The also house-made mozzarella curd and ricotta add delicate, luxurious creaminess. Fresh herbs provide bright flavor, while grated parmesan adds nutty, buttery depth.

For another classy take on a comforting classic, try The Suit ($15). A house-made sesame brioche bun sandwiches two juicy beef patties, melty American cheese, thick-cut bacon, shaved yellow onion, and dijonnaise. Add a fried egg to take it to the next level.

Commoner & Co. is located at 6960 E. Sunrise Dr. and can be reached at (520) 257-1177. For more information, visit commonertucson.com.
