There’s no stampede at the AC Hotel’s Cattle Drive ritual, but there is bourbon and flaming sugar cubes.

Every day from 5:45 to 6 p.m., guests and customers lounging at the lobby bar top receive a complimentary sample-size Cattle Drive cocktail.

Copper City bourbon is chilled and stirred with a hint of vanilla simple syrup and dashes of bitters. Next, a high proof rum-soaked sugar cube is lit on fire and sprinkled with cinnamon. Once the sugar has caramelized, it’s added to the bourbon along with a fresh orange peel.

The Tucson-take on a traditional Old Fashioned draws inspiration from Arizona’s 5 C’s- copper, cattle, citrus, cotton and climate.
