1912 Brewing is inviting Superstition Meadery down to celebrate National Mead Day with servings of bacon, and of course mead.

(GMT-07:00)

National Mead Day is right around the corner, and bacon’s the guest of honor.

1912 Brewing Company is throwing a Mead and Bacon Pairing Party with Superstition Meadery from 4 – 7 p.m. on Saturday, August 4.

If you’ve never tried mead it’s sort of like wine, but it’s created by fermenting honey with water and sometimes with fruit, spices, grains, or hops.

To celebrate the holiday many never knew they had the privilege of celebrating, three different types of delicious local bacon and mead from up north will be offered.

From their beginnings in Skull Valley, Arizona to their tasting room in Prescott, Superstition Meadery has made more than 130 unique meads and hard ciders since 2012.

If mead isn’t your thing, all of 1912 Brewing Company’s signature beers will also be available at the event.

1912 Brewing Company is located at 2045 N. Forbes Blvd. Suite 105. For more information, call (520) 256-4851 or visit 1912 Brewing’s Facebook Event Page.
