The countdown begins! Mark your calendars and start making plans for the 17th annual Agave Heritage Festival on Thursday, April 10 – Sunday, April 13.
In a recent article in Forbes, journalist Rona Berg had a few nice things to say about her experience at last year’s festival, mentioning, “There is no shortage of agave-inspired drinks in town, a reflection of Tucson’s Mexican community.”
Each year, the festival provides a weekend of culinary dinners and educational tastings featuring NETA, Cambio Tequila, Alma Del Jaguar and Del Maguey, Esfuerzo, and other agave spirits. Also, world-class agave pros, including Paul and Suze Phish, and award-winning authors Ted Jenoways and Gary Nabhan are just a few special guests appearing this year.

Over the years, the Foundation has focused on local youth and in-need adults. Recent recipients of their support include Tucson teachers through their signature project, Rotary Local. The Taste of Chocolate is their signature fund raiser with 100% of the funds raised going to the eduction of our community’s children.

On Saturday, April 19 from 12 – 5 p.m., the Arizona Wine Growers’ Association will be bringing back one of their longest-running festivals, Off the Vine Arizona Wine Festival, to Kallista Park in Tucson, Arizona. This year’s festival will include 20+ Arizona wineries pouring their award-winning wines, live music, local art, food trucks, and a variety of other vendors.
