New restaurants joining Sonoran Restaurant Week 2026

Aug 31, 20263 min read

Sonoran Restaurant Week returns to Tucson from September 4 through 13, 2026, marking 10 days of prix fixe menus across the city. More than 120 restaurants are expected to take part this year, and organizers say new spots and menus keep joining the list throughout the summer.

As always, restaurants offer prix fixe menus at a $15, $25, $35, $45, or $55 price point. Each menu runs at least 20% below what those same courses would cost on a regular visit. That price covers food only; tax, tip, drinks, and anything ordered off the regular menu come extra.

Below is a look at one of this year's newest additions to the Tucson dining scene, plus a note on where to find the full list.

For a complete, continually updated roster of every participating restaurant, visit sonoranrestaurantweek.com.

NEX

220 N. Fourth Ave.

NEX opened on Fourth Avenue this year, blending elevated dining with Sonoran influences and a cocktail-forward program into one cohesive downtown experience. The menu leans seasonal and ingredient-driven, and the beverage program pushes both zero-proof and spirit-forward creativity. Chef Mateo Cancio leads the kitchen.

Prix Fixe Menu – $45

Available for both lunch and dinner.

First Course - Sun-Roasted Carrots. Crispy onions, goat cheese, salsa macha, yogurt, and fresh herbs

Second Course - Squash Mole Fettuccine. Chef's fettuccine made with white Sonoran wheat, local squash mole, and Parmigiano-Reggiano

Third Course - Chocolate Cake. Rich chocolate cake finished with an orange drizzle

1989 Bake House

745 N. Fourth Ave.

1989 Bake House opened this year on Fourth Avenue and quickly built a following for its New York City-style cookies and fudgy brownies. Owners Roselena Trevizo and Randy Koch blend Mexican and Sonoran flavors with European pastry technique, and the menu leans on nostalgia alongside creative espresso and matcha drinks.

Prix Fixe Bake House Duo Menu – $15

A 24-ounce specialty drink (choice of latte or matcha) paired with a pastry. Choose a Mexican sprinkle cookie or a Mexican hot chocolate cookie.

Prix Fixe Sonoran Brunch Menu – $25

  • Cajeta pancakes - finished with cajeta and sea salt

  • Cortadillo latte - hot or iced

  • Mexican hot chocolate cookie - made with chocolate, cinnamon, and warm Mexican chocolate spices

Holy Focaccia

831 E. 17th St.

Holy Focaccia opened this year, pairing wood-fired focaccia with a rotating menu shaped by owners Rachael Colasanto and Zakaria Boucetta. The restaurant has quickly become a downtown favorite for its scratch-made approach.

The Restaurant Week menu wasn't posted at the time of publishing. Check Holy Focaccia's page for the finalized prix fixe offering.
