There once was a time when downtown Tucson wasn’t a mecca of dining options. Only a handful of outliers existed, some going back years. Then in 2010, 47 Scott came along and proved – on a lesser traveled side street – that a newer, trendier restaurant could not only survive, but thrive.
It has been 8 years since opening and 47 Scott has gone from being solely a restaurant (albeit, one of Tucson’s most popular), to a restaurant that pioneered the craft cocktail movement in Tucson with it’s next door sister bar, Scott & Co. in 2011, to tearing down those walls between the two and combining in 2017, to simply just being. They’ve settled on a formula and it works well. And it’s really delicious.
For a limited time, 47 Scott is offering a phenomenal deal. And I’m not just saying this because they’re paying us to. I happened to visit just prior to 47 Scott deciding to work with us and chose this special. We had a couple of cocktails and an appetizer in the former Scott & Co. before settling in for dinner at 47 Scott for the special. The wine was great, as were the dishes (I had the Flatiron Steak).
Salad options are limited to the Spinach (goat cheese, pistachio crust, shaved red onion, balsamic vinnaigrette) or Chopped Greens (local lettuces, sourdough croutons, Parmigiano Reggiano, herb vin). But for entrees, the entire ‘Mains’ sections is fair game. It’s available Sunday through Thursday, excluding Mondays, when they’re closed.
