You’ve heard of Meat Lovers Pizza? Well, Wide Open Throttle is an IPA lover’s Double IPA. Absolutely loaded with hops that hit every lupulin receptor imaginable, Wide Open Throttle was brewed collaboratively by the teams at MotoSonora Brewing Company and Mother Road Brewing Company (Flagstaff, Arizona) as part of a special duo of collab-brews.

Wide Open Throttle was brewed here in Tucson, and its alpine counterpart, a Scotch Ale, was brewed in Flagstaff. Keep an eye out for the local release of this Scotch Ale very soon.

Wide Open Throttle “was the hoppiest beer we’ve brewed since I became head brewer,” said MotoSonora head brewer Corey Fujimoto. This Double IPA was hopped and dry hopped with five different hop varietals and two cryo hops. Cryo hops are the extremely concentrated aromatic oils and resins of the hop flower, providing huge hop flavor in small doses.

Wide Open Throttle roars off the line with tangerine, pine sap, and dank resin flavors, and hits the DIPA mark at 8.1% ABV. The warm golden glow in the glass draws you in like the curves of a vintage muscle car, and the intoxicating hoppiness gives you those “driving off into the sunset” feels. Hop haters need not apply.
