The slices at Mama’s are gargantuan and when dining in you’re surrounded by classic pizza joint nostalgia — arcade machines, stained glass, and families gathered around tables. Unfortunately, Mama’s has dwindled down to just three locations. The spot at 22nd Street and Kolb Road, 6996 E. 22nd St., has officially closed its doors.

With just one location left in Tucson, Mama’s Hawaiian Bar-B-Cue has recently closed its sole restaurant at 6310 E. Tanque Verde Rd. #120. On Friday, June 28, the doors officially closed due to “failure to pay rent,” according to a printed notice pasted on the window. We reached out but weren’t able to speak to anyone involved with the restaurant.
