Cannabis consumers have been utilizing the medicinal values of cannabis for a number of reasons — from sleep aid to pain relief. Now, users can enjoy cannabis while breaking a sweat!
Tucson’s first CannaGym is hosting its Grand Opening from 5 – 10 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, featuring vendors and fun experiences at 127 S. Fourth Ave.
The Ruckus Room, established in 2020 by “Q” Jefferson, aims to be a dynamic family gym where everyone comes to workout and have a good time. The club offers group fitness classes with a focus on individual needs, offering one-on-one assistance in a friendly environment.
Partnering with Ruckus Room is Goldweight, founded by Stefan Oropeza in 2024. Oropeza began as an herbalist in 2015, conjuring a medicinal salve that is chemical-free, offering cell rejuvenation, inflammation reduction, and faster skin barrier penetration.
The salve, called Goldweight, is made from cannabis and pure herbs. Oropeza intends to offer the salve to gym goers who may need relief after a workout. Oropeza partnered with Jefferson to create the CannaGym segment of The Ruckus Room, and the cannabis culture remains his “highest” priority.
“It’s about unconditional love for greater growth,” said Oropeza. “Understanding of the benefits of [cannabis] and how it can break down barriers is important.”
The Ruckus Room gym will be open for all attendees to try equipment, tour the facility, and learn about the gym’s offerings.
You’ll also be able to choose cannabis products to sample, watch movies on the big screen, enjoy food, groove to DJ S.O. Musik, and meet personal trainers. The event is free and for ages 21+.
