Casa Asada Taqueria & Cerveceria hosts Tucson Foodie’s next R&D Dinner from 6-9 p.m. on Monday, July 28. The one-night-only event will showcase a nine-course tasting menu with vibrant Sonoran roots and modern twists.
Guests will experience Casa Asada’s culinary creativity in an intimate, experimental format. The dinner includes tax and gratuity, and tickets are available now for $100 per person.
The evening begins with a Cantarito welcome cocktail, followed by roasted elote to share at the table. From there, guests will dive into bold dishes like carne asada tacos, duck confit with Fresno salsa, and bluefin tuna tostadas with avocado crema and charred black salsa.
Later courses include a Lorenza Sonora with guacamole and carne asada, a barbacoa flauta topped with cilantro crema and queso fresco, and a rib-eye taco dressed in smoky salsa morita.
The finale features a take on a Sonoran sweet classic: the coyota, filled with cajeta and topped with vanilla ice cream.
For those looking to elevate the experience, a $25 cocktail pairing is available as an add-on. The curated beverage lineup includes a Fresno Reposado Margarita, a Mexican Mai Tai, and a closing Carajillo to accompany dessert.
Each drink was crafted to complement specific courses, adding balance and dimension to the night’s progression.
