Tucson restaurants and bars are serving unique specials, parties and food festivals to celebrate Labor Day weekend 2025. Expect luaus, taco tastings, the launch of three new restaurants, and more during the long weekend.

The annual Salsa, Tequila & Taco Challenge returns Sunday, Aug. 31 at El Conquistador Tucson.
More than 30 local chefs and bartenders will compete for best taco, salsa and tequila cocktail. Tickets include unlimited tastings.
“Every year the creativity surprises us,” organizers wrote. “People come for the tacos but stay for the energy.”
Tickets start at $100 for general admission at 6 p.m. VIP tickets cost $135 with 5 p.m. entry.
Hotel Congress will host its annual Club Congress Weekend from Aug. 29 to Aug. 31.
The festival features live music, film screenings, a record fair and the popular Rock Lottery showcase.
Events run day and night across the downtown property. Some are free while others require tickets.

Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch Resort will host its third annual Labor Day Luau on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The evening buffet includes roast pig, island entrees, tropical desserts and tiki cocktails. Hula dancers and live Polynesian music will entertain.
Each ticket includes one cocktail or mocktail and a souvenir tiki mug.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m. Tickets cost $85 per person.
East side diners can try Figs Oven + Enoteca, which opened Aug. 25 on East Tanque Verde Road. The Mediterranean-inspired restaurant serves scratch-made pastas, lamb with za’atar, and a curated wine list.
Meanwhile, Main Gate Square welcomes The Saddle, a relaunch of Bourbon Bent with country flair and Southwest dining. The Saddle introduces steaks, tacos, and cocktails alongside live music and dancing.
In the Sam Hughes neighborhood, Redbird Scratch Kitchen + Bar prepares to open its second location. Redbird offers a variety of contemporary takes on American comfort classics.
The Queen Creek Olive Mill will host its annual Grill at the Mill on Labor Day, Sept. 1. The event runs from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and features live music, lawn games and family activities.
Grill-inspired menus will be available alongside Olive Oil 101 tours, which can be booked at the marketplace counter. Admission is free, and all ages are welcome at Arizona’s only working olive mill.
