This April 20, Tucson Doobie is leaning all the way into the spirit of the holiday with a one-night-only experience that feels equal parts playful, nostalgic, and elevated. The 420 Dinner on 4/20 — presented by Prime Leaf Dispensary — brings together two standout chefs, Lindy Reilly and Christian Padilla, for a menu that reimagines childhood favorites through a refined, French-inspired lens.

This isn’t your typical infused dinner. It’s a concept-driven experience that plays with memory and flavor, taking the foods everyone grew up with and transforming them into something unexpected, indulgent, and unmistakably 420.

Elevated Comfort, Reimagined

From the moment guests sit down, the tone is set. Instead of a traditional starter, tables are greeted with salt and vinegar chips tossed in infused bacon fat powder — a bold, savory opening that signals this dinner is going to push boundaries in the best way.

The first plated course, French Fry, layers comfort with complexity: sour cream and onion, chives, and that same infused bacon fat powder — taking a simple staple and dialing it up with richness and depth.

Then comes a crowd favorite turned culinary statement: Dino Nuggies. But these aren’t the frozen kind. Think confit chicken, crisped with brioche breadcrumbs and paired with an infused mole ketchup — a perfect balance of playful and sophisticated.

The Main Event: A “Royal” Upgrade

The centerpiece of the evening is the Royal With Cheese, a fully reimagined burger experience. Built with an aged beef patty, layered with Forbes Green chorizo, cornichon jam, and ghost pepper cheese, it’s finished with an infused fried egg hollandaise that ties everything together in a rich, indulgent bite.

It’s decadent, a little over-the-top, and exactly what a 4/20 dinner should be.

A Sweet (and Fizzy) Finish

Dessert brings it home with a nostalgic twist: a Root Beer Float featuring Brickbox root beer, infused popcorn ice cream, and a pretzel rim for a salty-sweet finish. It’s unexpected, slightly whimsical, and the perfect close to a menu that never takes itself too seriously — while still delivering on flavor and experience.

More Than a Meal: DJ Motion joins the party

Like all Tucson Doobie events, this dinner is about more than just what’s on the plate. It’s about creating a shared experience — one that blends cannabis culture, culinary creativity, and community in a way that feels intentional and elevated. Local DJ Motion will be spinning tunes all night, keeping the vibes even higher.

With Prime Leaf Dispensary as the presenting sponsor, guests can expect thoughtful integration, curated dosing, and a goody bag that extends the experience beyond the table.

And with 4/20 falling on the actual date this year, there’s something undeniably special about celebrating it this way — around a table, with good food, good people, and a menu that reminds you why this holiday is worth honoring.
