Slow Food of Southern Arizona is welcoming the year of the rooster with a Chinese New Year dinner at Lotus Garden this Thursday, January 19 at 6 p.m.

Chef Darryl Wong will host the dinner, which features ten courses, each with culturally significant symbolism.

Guests will learn the food lore behind each course, such as why noodles are long to symbolize longevity and happiness.

Fish is for prosperity, but the way it is eaten matters too, so pay attention to optimize your fortune.

Seats are $39 per person and with the event limited to 25 guests, reservations are required. To save a seat, please email info@slowfoodsouthernaz.org.
