Flavors range from standards such as strawberry to rare flavors such as soursop and currant

Raspados, Tostilocos and other Mexican treats can be found all over South Tucson. Newcomers La Michoacana Paleteria y Nevería take the Mexican treat offerings just a little further.

The Nogales-based parlor opened in October 2017. While they offer raspados, they also feature paletas de crema, paletas de frutas, fresas con crema, and aguas frescas.

The paletas are made with real fruit and range from standards such as strawberry, to rare flavors such as soursop and currant. The variety of aguas frescas also feature unique flavors, such as cantaloupe and barley. The menu features over 50 flavors of Mexican treats, many of which are prepared fresh daily.

Growth is just beyond the corner too. La Michoacana plans to expand their bright and colorful interior to house about 20 tables and add even more flavors to the menu.

La Michoacana Paletería y Nevería is located at 3774 S. 6th St. Keep up with La Michoacana on Facebook.
