Natural light from street-facing windows brightens the clean interior and highlights house-made noodle bowls. The menu centers on house-made wheat noodles and regional Guilin rice noodles. Signature bowls include the Sizzling Garlic Noodles and the Guilin Spicy & Sour. Garlic cucumbers and salt and pepper fried wings complete popular orders. Newer dishes include the Mala Peanut Noodles and numbing spicy Chongqing Noodles.

Samurai has closed after 40 years in Tucson. The Japanese restaurant at 3912 N. Oracle Rd. announced Oct. 25 as its last day of business. “With mixed emotions, we announce the closing of Samurai after 40 wonderful years serving the Tucson community,” the owners wrote on Facebook.
