  • The public is invited to our pre-festival fundraiser and performer showcase at Monterey Court, 505 W. Miracle Mile, Tucson, AZ 85705.

Friday Night ● April 10, 2026 ● 6:00pm – 9:00pm

  • Songwriting Competition Finals and Headliner at Plaza Stage

    Friday night, the festival opens with our annual songwriting competition at the Jacome Plaza Stage along with evening performances by a Local Headliner and our previous Songwriting Competition winners.
  • Agave Heritage Festival: Spirit of Sonora at the Tucson Folk Festival

    From 6–8 PM, celebrate the sights, sounds, and tastes of the Sonoran desert in Jacome Plaza with the Spirit of Sonora. Enjoy live music, artisan vendors, and tastings of Sonoran spirits like bacanora and sotol paired with regional foods. Free and open to all ages!

Saturday and Sunday, the festival occupies 3 city blocks and Jacome Plaza, in front of the Joel D. Valdez Main Library, 101 N. Stone Ave., Tucson AZ 85701 (Get Directions).

José Contreras, chef and owner of @Ameliastucson, is headed to New York City to cook alongside chef Alam Méndez of Washington, D.C.‘s Apapacho Taqueria for a collaborative dinner at the James Beard Foundation’s Platform at Pier 57. The Aug. 11 dinner will celebrate the culinary traditions of Sonora and Oaxaca through a multi course menu centered on heirloom corn, traditional masa, and coastal flavors. Guests will also enjoy a cocktail reception, Mijenta Tequila pairings, and a Q&A with both chefs. The event begins at 6:30 pm at @Pier57.nyc. Although El Conquistador licenses the Hilton brand, it’s owned and operated by a local company. The culinary team sources much of its meat and produce from Arizona.
