About

Celebrate the flavors, traditions, and heat of the Southwest at the Tucson Village Farm's Celebration of Chiles! Join us for an evening of delicious food, live music, hands-on fun, and plenty of CHILES! This event is for ages 21 and up.

Our chiles will come straight from Curry Farms, giving you the chance to taste and celebrate locally grown chiles from the Godfather of Chiles, Ed Curry.

🌶️ Taste your way through a variety of locally grown chiles

🌶️ Meet the region's preeminent chile grower, Ed Curry, and learn about the history and genetics of chiles from seed to table

🌶️ Make your own traditional chile ristra to take home

🌶️Enjoy chile-inspired dishes and demonstrations from the legendary Chef Bruce Yim

🌶️ Learn about genome biology and crop sustainability from internationally renowned University of Arizona plant geneticist Rod Wing

🌶️ Relax on the farm with live music from Tim Ronstadt & the Never on Time Band

🌶️ Celebrate food as medicine and deliciousness through local agriculture, culture, and community

Whether you like your chiles mild, smoky, sweet, or seriously HOT, there will be something for everyone.

Come hungry, bring your friends, and spend a beautiful evening at Tucson Village Farm celebrating one of the Southwest’s most iconic crops!

@Lovinspoonfulstucson is closing after more than 20 years in Tucson. Its final day of service runs on Saturday, Oct. 24.

Customers can stop in between now and Saturday for one last meal. The team plans to sell down its inventory, though it hopes to have favorite dishes available. Regular hours remain 9am-3pm through the final day.

“Running this kitchen has been a labor of love, but the numbers just aren’t adding up anymore, and as parents, we have to make the hard choice to step back and take care of what matters most at home.”

A little love for the chefs who make Tucson’s food scene so special. These are just some of the many talented chefs who make our city what it is.

Happy International Chefs Day to the talented people behind the plates, the creativity, and the meals we keep coming back for. We’re grateful for all you do!💐A little love for the chefs who make Tucson’s food scene so special. These are just some of the many talented chefs who make our city what it is. Tucson’s food scene draws people to the city year-round. Locals and visitors alike also appreciate the chance to eat outdoors from October through April, when daytime highs often settle in the 60s and 70s. Even on “cold” evenings, a patio with a heater or fire pit keeps dinner comfortable.

Whether you want a quiet brunch, a lively happy hour, or a long dinner under the stars, this list offers a place to start. Check each restaurant’s hours before you go, since patio seating may vary by weather and season. More details on Tucsonfoodie.com.🌞
