Get ready for a sweet slice of summer! The Monsoon Melon Event returns for its second year, celebrating the delicious Tohono O’odham yellow watermelon, grown by the Sulphur Springs Valley Produce Cooperative.

Bring your friends and family to enjoy a warm summer evening filled with juicy melon tastings, community spirit, and seasonal fun. This event honors both tradition and taste, showcasing one of the Southwest’s most unique and refreshing fruits.

IOU Sushi III has closed. The all-you-can-eat sushi restaurant on North Oracle Road announced the news on Facebook after about 10 years in Tucson. “This is the hardest post I’ve had to write,” the owners said. Today, owners Pam Santangelo and Kevin Breutzmann keep the Tucson bar exactly as regulars remember it.
