If you’re looking for something beyond your regular morning coffee, you’ll find a lot more than a cup of joe at these establishments spread out around Midtown Tucson. From local roasters to feline friends and unique ingredients, here is our list of the top 15 places to get your coffee fix.

Black Crown Coffee Company

Coffee, tea, magic, you’ll find it all and more at Black Crown Coffee. On the menu, you’ll find all your favorites like lattes, mochas, chai, specialty drinks, and Italian sodas with a wide variety of flavors. They’re most popular for their specialty menu, which boasts beverage options found nowhere else, like Turbo Coke and Breast Milk. They also have tons of seating and excellent pastries.

Coffee Times Drive-Thru

Founded in 1999 by Michael Cripps, his brother Jeremy, and his uncle, David Mannell, Coffee Times is a family-owned and operated drive-thru coffee shop located on a busy section of Speedway, between Alvernon and Country Club. The shop features both drive-thru and walk-up windows, serving coffee and espresso drinks, smoothies, and baked goods sourced from other local Tucson eateries. Coffee Times also makes an effort to give back regularly to local charities like Habitat for Humanity, Ben’s Bells, AIDSWALK Tucson, and countless others.

Crave Coffee Bar

Midtown’s Crave Coffee Bar offers pastries and specialty coffees made with beans roasted in-house. In addition to freshly roasted fair trade coffees, experience their selection of craft beer and wine. Also, if you’re hungry for more than pastries, Crave serves breakfast sandwiches.

Cuppa Gogo

Cuppa GoGo is much more than a place to indulge in a delightful treat! Their menu features unique handcrafted beverages including, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, tres leches, cookie butter coffee drinks, and chai lattes. The best part? Each of their sauces and syrups are made from scratch. Make sure to check out their monthly flavors, too, like Toasted Almond, Truffle, and Coquito.

All the cats at El Jefe come from My Forever Home Rescue in Tucson, and yes, they’re all ready for adoption!

Presta Coffee Roasters – 1st Ave

Looking to slow down and experience your coffee? Presta creates a Nordic-style coffee environment with attention given to each part of the process. Presta’s coffee selections change regularly depending on seasonal availability, but you can sample their roasts in your favorite coffee drinks, such as their Honey Lavender Latte. Raging Sage is the place for coffee and pastry lovers alike. This cozy family-owned coffee shop serves housemade pastries, unique teas, and a variety of coffee and espresso drinks including their Oaxacan Mocha, a Mexican espresso drink spiced with nutmeg, cayenne, and cinnamon. Each drink is made from sustainably grown beans that are roasted in-house and can be purchased in-store or online.

Revolutionary Grounds

Revolutionary is really the best word to describe this full-service coffee shop and bookstore. 

The menu is carefully constructed to be local, sustainable and socially conscious, focusing on fair trade, organic fresh coffee all roasted in small batches. Grab a book and one of their specialty coffee drinks or variety of tasty bagel sandwiches and baked goods — all house made and vegan whenever possible.

Savaya Coffee Market – Synergy Plaza

Everyone deserves exceptional coffee and that’s exactly what Savaya delivers. The art of coffee has been in Turkish owner Burc Maruflu’s family for generations, and Savaya strives for the best quality product, sourcing single-origin, fair-trade coffee. In the store, you’ll find their selection of coffee varieties, as well as delicious drinks.

If you want to have a truly unparalleled experience, stop by Tucson Coffee Cricket and grab your morning coffee paired with their Zucchini Walnut Bread or a selection of other baked goods made with cricket flour.
