Quail Creek 2016 Culinary Competition
The Quail Creek Food & Beverage Committee is hosting a Culinary Passion Scholarship Competition to give Sahuarita High School students the opportunity to win scholarship money. The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, September 29.
Five teams of culinary students from Sahuarita High School will be challenged to create two items — a savory bite and a mini cupcake.
The Quail Creek culinary staff will be the primary judges for the competition, but guests will also have the opportunity to vote for the winner of a People’s Choice Award.
Below are prizes for the winning culinary students:
- First Place — Cash scholarship
- Second Place — Knife and tool set
- Third Place — Williams-Sonoma gift card
- People’s Choice Award — Plaque and gift card
Tickets for the event are priced at $20, and include 10 “punches” for five different food stations, a crepe and ice cream station, wine tastings, and one “bonus punch” for a second serving of one bite.
The event will also offer a silent auction to raise additional money for the students.
