Interfaith Community Services launches its 10th annual Peanut Butter Party Food Drive on Tuesday, July 1, running through Saturday, Aug. 1. The drive accepts donations of peanut butter jars at two Tucson locations and through an Amazon Wish List with free Prime delivery. ICS hopes to collect thousands of jars before the drive closes. ICS serves individuals and families experiencing crisis across Tucson and Pima County, working to help people reach stable, healthy, and independent lives.
Joshua Hennings, ICS Food Distribution Senior Manager, said demand at their food banks has grown steadily.
"We're seeing steadily increasing numbers at our food banks as the need for food assistance continues to grow," Hennings said. "Donations like peanut butter help us meet that demand while allowing our funds to be used for other essential food items."
