Tacos Apson easily shines as one of Tucson’s most iconic taquerias. Now, they are planning to open a second location at 6741 N. Thornydale Rd., Ste. 121.
“All the food is going to be the same,” Tacos Apson owner Francisco Durazo said. “But we’re adding chicken tacos to the menu. The other location doesn’t have room for it, but this one does.”

The tentative opening date will be about a month from now; the restaurant is waiting on the final health inspection, Durazo said.
Tacos Apson earned its reputation through its mesquite-grilled beef ribs and carne asada. Its status even earned it the attention of world-class foodie, Ruth Reichl.
