When it comes to Tucson legacy, few have a reputation as famous as Vivace Restaurant. Rated the number one dinner restaurant in Tucson on TripAdvisor, customers keep coming back for classics such as the Escargot and Artichokes and Stuffed Pork Chop.
Last summer, Vivace introduced its first menu updates in 10 years. While we haven’t tasted all the new dishes, we did get the chance to order the new Shrimp and Crab Cakes for lunch.
The thick cakes feature a light crust with a moist, creamy filling. The generous amount of crab provides most of the seafood flavor, while chunks of shrimp add a succulent texture to contrast.
Since the cakes are so moist, the asparagus aioli isn’t even necessary. It’s delicious either way though. The bed of arugula balances the dish with lightness.
Vivace Restaurant is located at 6440 N. Campbell Ave. For more information, call (520) 795-7221 or visit vivacetucson.com.
