Shade can be hard to come by in Tucson. Finding some at the Rillito Farmers Market might be enough of a reason to celebrate. On Sunday August 3rd from 8am-12pm, Heirloom Farmers Market at Rillito Park will host its very first Parasol Party.
What exactly is a Parasol Party, you might wonder? To beat the heat before a permanent shade pavilion is built in October, the recently revamped market will provide hundreds of parasols for shoppers to shade themselves while scooping up local goods from more than 70 vendors.
Other perks will include free drinks, special discounts and giveaways, plus complimentary photos and sunglasses from Yelp Tucson if you check in on Yelp.
And you definitely won’t want to miss out on the unveiling of Heirloom’s new javelina mascot sculpture…
