Little grants us the feeling of accomplishment as much as harvesting our own edible produce. And, few places are as well known for being you-pick farms as Apple Annie’s Orchard. The 125 acre Willcox farm produces apples, peaches, pears, pumpkins, sweet corn, and more.
Although you missed Apple Annie’s Apple Harvest Celebration that took place over the past two weekends, two upcoming events are still worthy of a trip.
Includes the early bird all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast served with hot apple topping or cider syrup, apple-smoked burger lunches from 11:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and free samples of scrumptious apple pies and Apple Crumb Pie Ice Cream. Crafters from around Arizona will be set up from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. each day with handmade crafts for sale.
More of an ongoing celebration than a specific event, Apple Annie’s Fall Pumpkin Celebration kicks off September 27 and continues through Halloween. Look for wagon rides, pumpkin picking, pancake breakfasts, a “corn maze” (with 3 levels of difficulty), and apple-smoked burger lunches.
