For one hour this Sunday at 10am (that’s tomorrow), Local First Arizona, Gio Taco, and Fed By Threads are teaming up for Shopping Sunday – an hour of private shopping.
It’s a free event for Localists. If you’re not a Localist, it’s easy and inexpensive to become one ($20/year. Register here or at event).
There are three good reasons to make it out to this event. One, it’s Gio Taco. Their food is stellar. In fact, the Citrus Marinated Grilled Chicken Burrito (which will not be served at this event) is one of my favorite burritos in town lately. Two, combine that with Fed By Threads who provide 12 emergency meals for every garment sold, and you get one killer hour of creative, fun, and delicious shopping. (View Fed By Threads catalog here.)
Finally, Local First Arizona is trailblazing the non-profit world with their truly ‘local first’ vision and mission. (Check out Local First Arizona’s About Us page here.) This is a way to get out and see firsthand what they’re up to and how they help support local businesses.
It’s a one-of-a-kind way to spend one of your shopping hours trying new food, networking with other like-minded localists, and picking up some fashion forward, community-conscious threads.
Hope to see you there!
