Celebrity chef David Chang’s quarterly food magazine Lucky Peach recently published A Guide to the Breads of Mexico, which includes historical context, a list with explanations, and a nifty illustration.

The article mentions:

“It is said that up to two thousand types of Mexican breads exist, many of them unique to specific villages, so it would be nearly impossible to capture them all here.”

However, it still lists 25 panadería goodies.
