New Year’s Eve 2020: Dinners, Brunch & Drink Specials

Like everything else in 2020, New Year’s Eve is going to be different.

Although, it’s sort of the same because certain local restaurants and businesses are celebrating any which way they can. Whether it be a fancy dinner, a delicious brunch to get the day started, or some incredible drink specials, there may be something out there that’ll catch your attention.

So, no matter how you decide to welcome in 2021, try to do it locally. Many places are open, but here are a few that are offering something special for the holiday.

1912 Brewing Company

The crew is pouring themselves into 2021 and opening up from 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.

Socially distanced guidelines will be in play, micheladas will be on the menu, and brunch will be provided by Daniela’s Cooking. You can eat there at the brewery or take it home. Plus, they’re having a noon toast to the new year, so arrive early to get a seat.

Bumsted’s, which is now located at the Best Western, The Royal Sun, have teamed up to keep anyone from driving on New Year’s Eve. Right now, they’ve got some rooms available if you’d like to stay after your dinner or drinks inside Bumsted’s new spot.

Kiss 2020 goodbye with a five-course prix fixe dinner, paired with wine, and crafted by chef Kenneth Foy from 5 – 8 p.m on New Year’s Eve.

Celebrate this New Year’s Eve with a classy dinner from 5 – 9 p.m. at The Grill and Terraza Garden Patio and Lounge.

The chefs have crafted an enhanced menu for the evening and are also giving out a complimentary glass of champagne to each guest with their purchase of an entrée.

Here’s a fun event you can enjoy from the comfort of your room at Hotel McCoy.

Several Arizona musicians will be performing in the parking lots, serenading everyone all throughout the night. Additionally, each room is set up with a complimentary split bottle of bubbly and a few party favors, and bites from Tucson Tamale and other snacks can be delivered to your room.

At midnight, open your hotel room door and join the communal midnight toast.

Along with 2021, a special menu is on the horizon as well at The Parish. Their dinner is taking place from 5 – 10 p.m. on New Year’s Eve, which includes a limited menu and tasty cocktails. Reservations are highly recommended, too.

This brunch is happening the morning after on New Year’s Day beginning at 9 a.m. Also, don’t forget, Postino’s Happy Hour is until 5 p.m. with $5 pitchers of beer and glasses of wine.

The craft beer drinkery is hosting an early New Year’s Eve party (safe and socially distanced) with live music from DJ Carl Hanni from 5 – 7 p.m. and then a tequila toast at 6 p.m. Masks are required so don’t forget to bring one along.
