Tucson Foodie’s “Monday Munchies” articles are brought to you by NatureMed.
Sometimes the munchies strike early and when they do, Baja Cafe is there for you in more ways than one. However, let’s shine a light on The Mac Daddy.
Baja Cafe specializes in hearty breakfast, brunch, and lunch dishes big enough to feed anyone dealing with the tummy grumbles that tend to happen after a recent trip to NatureMed. Besides, the day’s first meal is quite important and it should be a blast to eat, too.
In the past, we’ve dubbed The Mac Daddy “the king of comfort food.” This dish features crispy fried chipotle mac and cheese topped with smoked brisket machaca, poblanos, poached eggs, and bacon. Tomatillo green chile sauce and smoked gouda cheese add the signature Southwest flavor.
On Mondays, you can grab The Mac Daddy at the Baja Cafe locations found at 7002 E. Broadway Blvd. and 2970 N. Campbell Ave. Both locations are open daily from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m.
